
An Egyptian actor, director, and author, born in Cairo in 1901. He studied at the Frères Schools and then joined the Credit Lyonnais Bank. He worked in the Egyptian theater in its early stages in 1920 before joining the Ramses Troupe in 1924, where he translated dozens of plays for the troupe. Then he traveled to France on a directing mission from 1937 to 1939, and returned to direct in the National Troupe and the Egyptian Troupe. For acting and music, the Egyptian Modern Troupe and the National Theater, one of his plays is (Jealousy) in 1948, while his most prominent works in cinema are (Love Street, More Precious Than His Eyes). His last work was with the artist Karam Motawa in the movie (Sayed Darwish) in 1966, before he died on October 27, 1970.
